Scouts Remembrance Day

Scouts were out the Burgess Park for a history hike each with bomb maps of the area. Using a few carefully selected images on mobile phone we took them back in time to how the park would have looked. The Scouts found the modern installations for the Zeppelin raid and other sites where bombs and V1s had landed. They heard local stories of Scouts who were directly involved in the war effort. The session closed with a video of news coverage of a bomb raid 5 months ago and a reflection on how devastating war is to everyone involved.
